Jersey photographer: autumn family photoshoot at Samares Manor

Samares Manor. A beautiful botanic garden in Jersey that becomes a blaze of colour for a few precious weeks in autumn. I have loved these gardens ever since we became members when we first moved here. Winding little paths for tiny feet to potter along. Carefully tended herbs, vegetables and flowers to explore. Ponds for ducks and fish to delight children. And a gorgeous playground too. It makes a welcome change from the beach to be immersed here for a morning or afternoon, and it’s also a great place for photos - lots of colours, texture, and often sheltered from the coastal winds.

This wonderful family booked me for an autumn photoshoot at the gardens, and we combined it with the nearby Archirondel beach for some contrast in their gallery. Beautiful pops of colour in the background, and the most gorgeous children. With huge thanks to the Boessenkool family for letting me share some of my favourites from their session.
