Jersey photographer: an early summer photoshoot at Plemont

Plemont is hands down my favourite beach in Jersey. With towering cliffs, deep caves dripping with water, impossibly blue sea, huge skies, aquamarine tidal pools and picture perfect sand, it’s hard not to fall in love with this little slice of paradise in Jersey. The beach however is only exposed for a few hours either side of low tide, which means I don’t get to photograph there as often as I would like, but for those willing to work with the time limitations (and the steep steps down there!) it is an unbeatable location for your photoshoot. The lighting here is also just beautiful, and it’s a location that photographs well in all seasons.

This was my second time photographing the wonderful Knowelden family, and we were celebrating their littlest’s first birthday, whom I had previously photographed as a newborn. It is the nicest compliment when families choose you time and time again to document their growing families. We spent a lovely June afternoon splashing in the pools at Plemont - I just love the look of pure joy on the girl’s faces. This photoshoot is EXACTLY why I choose to photograph families outdoors.
